The
Farmington Contradance is usually held at the
Farmington Grange in West Farmington
|
| The
Grange is on Bridge Street, which is also Route 43 - one block west
of Route 2, just around the corner from the West Farmington Post
Office, kitty corner from Maxwell's Market, also next to the tiny
little park at the intersection of Bridge Street and Oak Street.
Park in the Post Office parking lot or on the street. |
 |
- Coming from the west
(Wilton), look for Rite Aid. At the next traffic light, turn left
onto Bridge Street (Route 43) and the Grange will be one block up
on the left.
- Coming from the east
(New Sharon), cross the Sandy River and then turn right at the light
onto Bridge Street (Route 43). The Grange will be one block up on
the left.
NOTE
- WINTER LOCATION: We
are so pleased that while the Farmington Grange is closed for the winter
(December through March) we will be able to dance at the Wilson Grange
in East
Wilton.
The
Wilson Grange is right in the village of East Wilton, between Farmington
and Wilton, on the East Wilton Road (at least that's what the sign said
last time I looked, but Mapquest and DeLorme now call it Main Street
- so pay careful attention). The Post Office is on the corner of Temple
Street (called Temple Road on the map) and the East Wilton Road, and
the Grange is one block north of the Post Office on the same side of
the road, just across the street from the a little convenience store
called Hometown Market.
